Such a pleasant experience every time. You know the "place where everybody knows your name"? Well they may not know your name, but they know your face. The food is good. Not wow greatest, but solid. I usually get the oxtail and white rice and have had the jerk chicken in the past. However, I must say, you get what you ask for. I ask for extra gravy, I get extra gravy. A small oxtail may look small, but it's filling. In the mood for a "it will taste great no matter what you order" dinner, this is the place where you will surely be satisfied. The staff has always been friendly, especially the guy who I engage in joking banter. Most notably, they are not slow like most Jamaican restaurants. In and out in a prompt manner. On my way home, this is a go-to for West Indian cuisine.

A native frequent flyer told me they have a saying- the snootier the establishment is, the better the food. Fisherman's def lives up to that quotable. It doesn't matter if there is no line and u are smiling like an idiot full of q & a's or if u r flashing bills- they don't give a hoot. Fisherman's are here to Only fulfill food orders, nothing more. So u better be clear and quick about what it is that you want. And get everything. I got the escovitch large dinner box and the large jerk chicken dinner. Luckily they were making new batches of everything and it was so worth the wait.

This review is long overdue, but my coworker and I used to eat this shit religiously for lunch. Mainly the Jerk Chicken Meal with rice and peas, oxtail gravy, plantains and cabbage with bbq sauce. The small size will get you satisfied but the medium will have you SI can't put it in words but this food really be RIGHT. The chicken is always juicy and the bbq sauce compliments it so well. I'm not gonna lie though very rarely the plantains are a hit or miss, most of the time they are so sweet and mushy, and very rarely they are super dry with no flavor. MAKE SURE U KNOW YOUR ORDER BEFORE YOU STEP UP TO THE CASHIER. They will literally suck their teeth at you, roll their eyes, and give you attitude because u don't know what u want. But can't blame them because how u gonna order food but u don't know what u want ? LOOK AT THE MENU.

Wow fisherman's cove never fails. Love their oxtail stews. It always hits the spot. Seasoned perfectly served with rice, salad or cabbage. I always say I want to try other dishes like the curry goat or the jerk chicken but always end up with the oxtail stew. I have heard of them selling out so maybe when I come no more oxtail it'll be my chance to try another dish.
